Greetings to all of you, I am delighted to welcome you to Al Jazeera Academy, Qatar.

We are proud to instill values that allow our students to develop, grow and express their individuality, whilst upholding the high moral Islamic values of Qatar and the Academy. We aim to prepare students to take on the challenges ahead, equipped with the necessary skills to become 21^st century global citizens and the future leaders of tomorrow.

As a team of educators, we have the incredible opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives and futures of our students. We fully recognise the need to forge strong partnerships across our learning community as we strive for excellence in all that we do. Working together we aim to ensure every child has the chance to realise their full potential. We aim to meet the needs of every child instructionally, socially, and emotionally. Making learning joyful and serious fun.

All students engage in an inclusive aspirational curriculum based on the breadth and balance of the English national curriculum. This allows our young people to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful lifelong learners. Their educational journey begins in the early years’ foundation stage, progressing through primary school and secondary, to the external examinations at IGCSE and AS level.

During this journey, students will not only experience the rigor and challenge of the curriculum, but will also have the chance to develop resilience, tolerance, leadership opportunities, sporting prowess and much more, making them rounded and ready to contribute to not only the school but also the wider community in Qatar and beyond. All in preparation for post-secondary education and the university of choice.

There is only one way to achieve this and that is through inspirational staff, purposeful and ambitious students and supportive parents, all working together so we can ensure that every child who attends Al Jazeera Academy can have the best education possible. Schools are fantastic places because they are about making dreams a reality.

We will continue to keep students at the forefront of every decision we make as a learning community. Continue to encourage them to move from their comfort zone, we will continue to stretch and challenge, and we will continue to praise and recognize their achievements, great and small.

Many skills, values and aptitudes do not come with a piece of paper, but they are nonetheless vital for happy and purposeful living.  A great education nurtures character; and it lasts a lifetime.
